What is GTF BIG Talent Scholars?

GTF BIG Talent Scholars offers prodigious young talents the opportunity to study at world-class institutions like Cambridge and Imperial. Scholarships are open to students from around the world who have medalled in international Olympiads. The initiative is spearheaded by the Global Talent Lab, supported with a founding donation from XTX Markets and working in collaboration with the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
GTF BIG Talent Scholars was previously known as Backing Ingenuity for Growth, or BIG Scholars, and is based on our Invisible Geniuses research.

What does GTF BIG Talent Scholars provide?

GTF BIG Talent Scholars offers holistic support for students, encompassing tuition costs, assistance with living costs, a stipend for academic pursuits outside the classroom, and other benefits such as social events, networking, internships, and research placements.

Who can apply to be a GTF BIG Talent Scholar?

GTF BIG Talent Scholars is open to students from any country who have earned a gold, silver or bronze medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), or the Romanian Master of Mathematics (RMM), as well as students from any country who earned a gold or silver medal at the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO), International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) and the International Biology Olympiad (IBO).

At which universities do GTF BIG Talent Scholars study?

GTF BIG Talent Scholars study at top tier global universities including our partners Imperial College London, St John's College at the University of Oxford, Trinity College, Christ's College, St John's College, King's College and Trinity Hall at the University of Cambridge, the University of Bristol, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Warwick in the UK, and École Polytechnique and École Normale Supérieure in France.
