Novak was an academically successful student from an early age, quickly transitioning from playing Sudoku with his mom to competing in math. While he has a strong interest in combinatorics, he hopes to explore more physics at university. Unlike many former Olympiad competitors, Novak isn't drawn to research in math. He shared the possible paths he does see, and one childhood hobby he looks forward to reviving.
