Manuel’s passion for math, especially geometry, was sparked at age 14 during an Olympiad in Cuba. He values the friendships and experiences gained through these competitions – and through his “parallel hobby” of salsa dancing, in which he has also won awards. Excited for university, he aims to build a strong foundation in math to support his future goals in computer science and machine learning.
